Job Summary
Undertake a PhD project investigating ultrafast magnetization dynamics in cobalt nanowires using advanced time-resolved electron holography techniques. This role involves designing and executing GHz microwave pump–probe experiments within a transmission electron microscope, developing optimization strategies for electron holography protocols to achieve nanometer-scale resolution, and analyzing phase-resolved holographic data to extract magnetic field distributions and dynamics. The ideal candidate will possess an excellent master's degree in physics, materials science, or engineering, with strong knowledge of semiconductor physics, lasers, and optics. Experience in transmission electron microscopy is highly desirable. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of ultrafast electron microscopy, RF physics, and magnetism, contributing to next-generation magnetic memory and logic devices within a world-class research institute.
