Job Summary

This role involves providing expert medical physics and technical support within the Nuclear Medicine Clinic, including its satellite locations. The successful candidate will contribute to the application of ionizing radiation for diagnostic and therapeutic patient purposes, focusing on dosimetry, radiation protection calculations, and treatment planning. Key responsibilities also include quality assurance and optimization of imaging modalities like SPECT, PET/CT/MR, and SPECT/CT, along with general IT support for RIS/PACS and the technical oversight of the clinic's whole-body counter. The position requires a strong understanding of medical and clinical processes, a high degree of responsibility, and a collaborative spirit for interdisciplinary teamwork. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diploma / Master) in Medical Physics or Physics

Experience

  • Practical experience in medical physics, especially in nuclear medicine (preferred)
  • Knowledge of hybrid imaging techniques (PET/CT/MR and SPECT/CT)
  • Knowledge of dosimetry
  • Knowledge of medical radiation protection
  • Knowledge of gamma spectroscopy

Languages

Additional

  • Certification as a Medical Physics Expert in Radiation Protection (Fachkunde) is preferred, but can be acquired during employment. A certificate regarding measles vaccination and immune status according to §23a IfSG is required. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 2 years.
