Job Summary
The Fraunhofer Institute for Physical Measurement Techniques IPM is seeking an engaged individual to lead their Technical Services department. This role involves the strategic and operational management of all technical services, ensuring the efficient, sustainable, and reliable availability of technical infrastructure at an excellent standard. Key responsibilities include overseeing the operation, maintenance, and development of facilities, laboratories, and utility systems, leading an interdisciplinary team, and managing investment and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering or a related field, extensive experience in technical facility management, and a proven ability to implement sustainable concepts. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Engineering, Building Technology, Utility Technology, or a comparable field, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
Experience
- Several years of professional and hierarchical or lateral leadership experience in technical facility management or a comparable area.
- Professional experience in the planning and operation of technical systems.
- Experience in implementing sustainable and resource-efficient concepts.
- Experience in managing external service providers, including contract and budget responsibility.

- The position is initially limited to two years. Weekly working hours are 39 hours, with potential for part-time. Compliance with legal requirements, work safety, environmental, and quality standards is mandatory.
