Job Summary

As a Research Associate at the Fraunhofer FFB, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between research and industrial application in battery cell production. Your day-to-day work involves managing and optimizing facility operations in the PreFab environment, overseeing the commissioning of new processes, and driving innovation projects in cell finalization and testing. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to analyze production processes, identify improvement potential, and develop practical solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for the acquisition and coordination of research and industrial projects, while mentoring students and supervising thesis work. This position is uniquely attractive as it offers the opportunity to contribute to a lighthouse project for the German and European energy transition, provides a collaborative research environment with flat hierarchies, and includes the potential to pursue a PhD in a self-defined research area.
