Job Summary

This role is for a Plant Safety Engineer within a leading global chemical company specializing in cellulose acetate. You will be responsible for ensuring plant safety, particularly focusing on explosion protection. Your day-to-day tasks will involve creating and updating explosion protection documents, conducting process risk analyses (HAZOP, LOPA), advising line managers, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations. You will also develop concepts for continuous improvement, participate in safety-focused projects, analyze safety-relevant incidents, and manage IMS system documentation. The ideal candidate has a degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, with specific qualifications or willingness to acquire them in industrial explosion protection. Experience in plant safety, project management in this area, and strong PC skills are essential.
