Job Summary
Join Swissbit as an Automation Engineer to shape the future of industrial and IoT applications. You will develop automated test environments for flash and smart card memory media, focusing on hardware integration while considering software interfaces. Your responsibilities include validating test equipment, creating specifications for external suppliers, and acting as a technical liaison. You will also integrate and enhance existing test equipment, design small PCBs and electronic modules, and oversee the transfer of automated test setups into production. This role involves analyzing production metrics, managing bottlenecks, and developing efficient future test technologies. If you have a background in electrical engineering or automation technology with PLC programming and electronics development experience, this is an opportunity to contribute to reliable data storage and protection solutions in a leading European manufacturer.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Technical Computer Science, or comparable fields
Experience
- Professional experience in electronics development and testing electronic components
- Practical experience and knowledge in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens)
- Experience with C, C++, scripting, and microcontroller programming
- Experience in PCB design with tools like Eagle, Siemens Expedition, or similar is ideal
- Experience in production testing and development of test hardware in semiconductor electronics/memory media or similar products is ideal
- Experience with SAP ERP software (e.g., SAP R3, S4/Hana) is advantageous
