Job Summary
Swissbit is seeking an experienced operations leader to take full responsibility for their production and logistics, as well as engineering functions. This role involves stabilizing production performance, professionalizing structures, and driving operational excellence in a dynamic growth and transformation phase. The Head of Production will lead a team of approximately 200 employees in Berlin, reporting directly to the executive board. Key responsibilities include overseeing semiconductor-based integration and electronic manufacturing in a 24/7 operation, managing production planning, logistics, process engineering, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational excellence, lean manufacturing, and performance improvement within high-tech production environments, coupled with excellent leadership and communication skills.
Required Skills
Education
Completed studies in Engineering/Natural Sciences or comparable qualification.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in microelectronics manufacturing, advanced packaging, or comparable high-tech production environments with 24/7 operations.
- Proven success in operational excellence, lean production, and performance enhancement.
- Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and modern production systems, including KPI systems and shopfloor management in regulated environments (IATF, ISO).
- Experience working with MES systems and ideally automated material flow systems.
- Professional experience in managing multi-layered operations organizations, including shift and line management.

Additional
- Valid work permit for Germany (implied by role location and responsibilities).
- Experience with semiconductor/packaging processes and cleanroom environments is advantageous.
- Membership in the local Site Leadership Team.
