Job Summary
The City of Weener (Ems) is seeking a Civil Engineer specializing in Civil Engineering or Wastewater Management. This full-time, permanent role involves the planning, tendering, construction supervision, and billing of new and existing water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will manage wastewater treatment plants and sewer networks, conduct hydraulic calculations, and contribute to the conceptual development of the city's drainage system. The position requires a degree in Civil Engineering (with a focus on Civil Engineering or Wastewater Management) or equivalent qualifications with extensive practical experience. Strong German language skills (C1 level) and a valid driver's license are mandatory. Required Skills
Education
Completed studies in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Civil Engineering or Wastewater Management, OR State-certified Construction Technician with a vocational training in Civil Engineering or Wastewater Management and several years of relevant practical experience.

- Professional experience in civil engineering or wastewater construction
- Experience in planning and construction supervision of sewer rehabilitation and civil engineering measures
- Experience in managing wastewater treatment plants and sewer networks
- Experience in developing drainage concepts and updating general drainage plans
- Experience in handling wastewater discharge applications
- Experience in preparing technical statements for applications and preliminary inquiries
- Experience in participating in political committee meetings and preparing resolutions
