Job Summary

The Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) is seeking a Head of Procurement for its Berlin-Charlottenburg office. In this role, you will lead a team of 6 employees across 2 units, acting as a service provider for the PTB. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing, managing, and executing procurement procedures (national and EU), monitoring contract fulfillment, processing invoices and performance issues, and advising internal departments. The ideal candidate will have a background in public administration or a related field, with experience in public procurement law. This is an attractive opportunity to take on a responsible interface role with significant autonomy, overseeing complex procurement processes from tender to contract completion.
