Job Summary

As the Head of the "Principles and Controlling" unit within the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), you will lead and develop a team of 19 employees across three locations. Your core responsibilities include ensuring consistent quality, process, and implementation standards for all construction and property-related matters, as well as continuously optimizing processes within the department. You will be instrumental in managing legal aspects, advising on contracts and procurement, and conducting negotiations. A key part of your role involves budget planning and adherence, spearheading the evolution of "Modern Work Environments," and implementing the BKA's sustainability strategy. This leadership position requires a background in higher non-technical administrative services, strong legal expertise, and significant experience in property management or large-scale construction projects, coupled with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed first and second state examinations in law with at least 14 points (equivalent to a strong legal qualification/degree).

Experience

  • • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in a leadership role within property administration/management or in the area of large-scale construction projects.

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Must be a civil servant in the higher non-technical administrative service. Willingness to undertake regular, planned business trips (at least once a month, one to several days) to all BKA locations for professional supervision. Consent to undergo an extended security clearance check (SÜG § 9) is required, which must not reveal any security risks. Must meet the minimum physical aptitude requirements. The position is full-time/part-time and permanent.
