Job Summary

As a Policy Advisor within the Ministry of Economy, Infrastructure, Tourism and Labor, you will play a pivotal role in implementing the Skilled Immigration Act. Your daily responsibilities include analyzing operational challenges in the immigration process, coordinating projects with federal agencies and chambers, and serving as a central point of contact for municipalities and Welcome Centers. You will report on implementation progress and organize events to raise awareness of new regulations. This role is ideal for a professional with a background in labor market policy or vocational integration who is passionate about facilitating skilled migration to Germany. You will work in a dynamic government environment, contributing to the economic development of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern through strategic stakeholder management and policy execution.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Master's, Diploma, or 1st/2nd State Examination in Law)

Experience

  • Professional experience in the vocational integration of foreign skilled workers
  • Professional experience in advising companies regarding skilled worker immigration
  • Professional experience in labor market and structural policy (preferred)

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Valid driver's license (Class B) preferred; willingness to travel within Germany; must meet C1 German language proficiency requirements.
