Job Summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity for an entry-level engineer to contribute to sustainable shipping by developing innovative energy and propulsion concepts. Working within an agile team, you will be involved in the entire project lifecycle—from conceptualization and implementation to commissioning on board vessels worldwide. Your day-to-day tasks include working with TIA and STARTER systems, developing DC concepts, creating simulation and training systems, and conducting functional tests. You will also participate in global commissioning missions, which include work in ports and at sea. The position is unique due to its focus on cutting-edge marine decarbonization technologies, such as fuel cells and battery systems, and provides a clear path toward becoming a Special Engineer. Candidates should have a background in automation, electrical engineering, or IT, and be prepared for international travel and occasional on-call support.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in engineering or commissioning of automation projects is preferred, though entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with TIA, STARTER, or ABB Drives is highly valued.
  • Willingness to engage in international travel for commissioning and site support is required.
