Job Summary

The University of Potsdam is seeking a Technical Control Center Operator to join their Building and Facility Management department. Your daily tasks include managing fault reports received via email, phone, or ticketing systems, executing switching operations during malfunctions, and coordinating necessary repairs to ensure operational continuity. You will also serve as a primary point of contact for university staff and external contractors, handling tasks such as key distribution and documenting all activities in the control system. This position requires a professional background in electrical or mechanical engineering, a high degree of reliability, and the ability to work in a shift system, including nights and weekends. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an electronics technician for industrial engineering, energy electronics technician, plant mechanic, HVAC technician, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional vocational training as an electronics technician, energy electronics technician, plant mechanic, or HVAC technician.
  • Several years of professional experience in control center operations or technical facility management preferred.
  • Experience with building management software (BMS) is highly desirable.
  • Practical knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems is an advantage.
