Job Summary

This role offers the opportunity to join the German Federal Motorway Company (Autobahn GmbH) as a Civil Engineer specializing in road construction. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of new construction, expansion, and maintenance projects. Your daily tasks include reviewing road designs, calculating project costs, managing the procurement process (including national and EU-wide tenders), and overseeing construction execution on-site. You will coordinate closely with internal departments, external engineering firms, and contractors to ensure projects are completed to standard, on budget, and on schedule. The position requires a deep understanding of technical road construction standards, the German construction contract procedures (VOB), and fee structures (HOAI).
