As a Senior Backend Software Developer at Schmitt Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in the evolution and optimization of our travel solutions domain. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in software development within an agile environment (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Experience in collaborating with product owners, pair programming, and performing code reviews.
  • Experience working with legacy code and refactoring.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, container technologies, and version management tools.
  • Proven experience in test automation and test-driven development (TDD) including unit, integration, and performance testing.
  • Experience in backend development using Java and Spring ecosystems.
  • Experience with error analysis, monitoring tools, and basic IT security practices.
