Job Summary
As a Principal Technology Manager, you will act as a critical interface within the Vendor Run Governance team for Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure. You will oversee the global Mainframe Tower (including Mainframe, NonStop, and AS400) and manage the technical relationship with service providers. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve steering Mainframe software release management, driving technology roadmaps, and participating in Technical Design Authority forums. You will also lead performance monitoring initiatives, define best practices, and manage audit requirements. This role is ideal for an experienced professional looking to operate in a complex, global environment, balancing technical oversight with strategic vendor management. You will collaborate with internal application teams to ensure platform stability and innovation, making you a key figure in the infrastructure lifecycle of a major financial institution.
Required Skills
Education
Degree or completed vocational training in Computer Science or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Extensive IT experience in large-scale corporate environments, specifically within managed production settings.
- Proven expertise in Mainframe platforms (z16/z17) and associated DB/DC systems.
- Extensive experience in a leadership position within a global environment.
- Professional experience in managing relationships across diverse departments, cultures, and time zones.
- Strong understanding of ITIL service contexts and best practices in real-time distributed environments.
