Job Summary

As an IT Project and Application Manager at Schmitt Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve evaluating internal software demands to ensure efficiency, managing the full lifecycle of IT projects—from requirement gathering and scope definition to resource allocation and risk management—and coordinating between various stakeholders, including IT security, operations, and external partners. You will also provide technical consulting, ensure compliance with quality standards, and oversee the transition of applications into production. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys both the strategic oversight of project management and the hands-on nature of application support. You will be instrumental in standardizing processes and maintaining a lean, high-performing application landscape. The position offers the stability of an established engineering firm, the opportunity to work with high-tech industry clients, and a supportive environment that values professional growth and work-life balance through flexible working models.
