Job Summary

The Russo research group at the Biomedical Center Munich (BMC) is seeking a motivated Laboratory Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the daily operations of a dynamic research laboratory focused on nuclear Acyl-CoA metabolism and chromatin remodeling. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry experiments, maintaining cell lines, and preparing samples for Next-Generation Sequencing and mass spectrometry. Additionally, you will assist in laboratory management, including ordering reagents and setting up infrastructure. You will also participate in the practical training of medical and dental students. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a laboratory technician (BTA, MTA, CTA or equivalent) or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Life Sciences.

Experience

  • Professional experience in molecular biological, cell biological, and biochemical techniques
  • Experience in laboratory organization and infrastructure management
  • Experience or interest in structural biology or protein biochemistry
  • Proven ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment
