Job Summary

As an Electrical and Mechanical Calibration Technician at Schmitt Engineering, you will play a vital role in ensuring the precision and reliability of industrial measuring and testing equipment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing both electrical and mechanical calibrations—including DAkkS-certified procedures—both in the laboratory and directly on-site at client facilities. You will act as a technical advisor for measuring equipment, manage documentation within the 'Calvin OP Center' database, and conduct DGUV V3 safety inspections. Furthermore, you will be responsible for optimizing calibration workflows and supporting quality assurance initiatives. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented technician who enjoys hands-on technical work and client-facing responsibilities. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training or technician certification in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

  • Completed vocational training or advanced certification as a technician in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional experience in measurement technology is preferred, specifically regarding electrical variables, vacuum, pressure, temperature, and mechanical measurements
  • Experience in error analysis and problem-solving methodologies is considered an advantage
  • Motivated entry-level professionals are encouraged to apply
