Job Summary

The City of Würzburg is seeking a dedicated Head of Department for Building Automation and Operations Engineering to join the Building Construction division. In this role, you will provide professional leadership and team management, ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of technical building systems, with a primary focus on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring and optimizing building automation and control systems (MSR), managing maintenance and repair budgets, and serving as the primary point of contact for municipal departments and external service providers. This position is ideal for a proactive leader who excels in cost-conscious management and cross-functional collaboration. You will play a vital role in maintaining the city's infrastructure, supported by a stable, permanent contract within the public service sector.

Required Skills

Education

State-certified Technician in Electrical Engineering, HVAC, or Measurement and Control Technology, or a Master Craftsman qualification with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in building automation, HVAC, or MSR technology is required.
  • Leadership experience is preferred for the management of the department.
