Job Summary

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation is seeking a part-time Scientific Officer to join the Life Sciences department within their Selection Division. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the Feodor Lynen selection program, managing peer-review processes, and providing expert assessments of research grant applications. You will act as a key point of contact for scientists, manage subject-specific selection committees, and contribute to the strategic development of funding programs. The position requires a deep understanding of molecular or cell biology, combined with experience in international science management or the foundation sector. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or higher; PhD in Life Sciences (with a focus on molecular biology and/or cell biology) is required. Foreign degrees must be accompanied by a ZAB recognition certificate.

  • Documented study or research experience abroad
