Job Summary

As a Program Coordinator in the Humanities and Social Sciences department, you will play a pivotal role in the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation's selection division. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve coordinating and providing expert consultation for the Alexander von Humboldt Professorship (AHP) program, as well as preparing administrative assessments (voting procedures) for grant applications. You will support the peer-review process and facilitate the decision-making of independent selection committees. This position requires a Master’s degree and professional experience in academic management, foundations, or public administration. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree (or equivalent higher education qualification) is required. For foreign degrees, recognition by the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB) is mandatory.

Experience

  • Professional experience in administrative roles within foundations, international science management, or public administration
  • Professional experience and knowledge in (agile) project management
  • International study and work experience is desired
  • Leadership, delegation, and assertiveness skills are desired

Additional

  • Valid work permit for Germany required. The position is a 50% part-time role (19.5 hours/week) and is fixed-term until December 31, 2027. Selected candidates must participate in a presentation and interview process, which will be partially conducted in English.
