Job Summary

The INM - Leibniz Institute for New Materials is seeking a Laboratory Infrastructure Coordinator to manage and advance its research facilities. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between scientific research and building technology, ensuring the reliable operation and optimization of chemical synthesis labs and technical areas. Your daily responsibilities include advising management on capital investments for new equipment, assisting scientists with the technical implementation of experimental infrastructure, and coordinating external service providers. You will also work closely with safety officers to ensure compliance with hazardous material regulations. Required Skills

Education

University degree or degree from a university of applied sciences in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in a scientific-technical environment
  • Experience in the operation and management of scientific or industrial laboratory or production facilities
  • Experience with process and inspection documentation
  • Familiarity with legal regulations regarding occupational safety and hazardous substance ordinances
  • Ideally, experience with the operation/use of glove boxes or high-temperature furnaces using reactive gases
