Job Summary
As a Key Account Manager for Biopharma at Leica Microsystems, you will serve as the primary relationship owner for strategic accounts across Central Europe. Your day-to-day work involves developing and executing account strategies, identifying sales opportunities within the life sciences and biotechnology sectors, and managing the end-to-end sales process—from discovery and solution design to negotiation and closing. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product specialists, applications, and marketing, to deliver high-value solutions for biopharma and clinical research workflows. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who thrives on building long-term executive relationships and influencing key decision-makers. You will be instrumental in driving profitable growth while supporting scientific innovation in a company with a 175-year legacy. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field. An advanced degree (MSc/PhD) or MBA is considered a plus.
Experience
- 5-7+ years of experience in Key Account Management or Strategic Sales within life science tools, Biopharma, Clinical Research, or high-tech markets.
- Proven experience selling into Biopharma environments including biologics, cell and gene therapy, or vaccine development.
- Experience working with regulated laboratory environments (GxP).
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizational structures and engage stakeholders across scientific, operational, and executive functions.
