Job Summary
As a Lead Customer Solution Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the digital transformation of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). You will hold end-to-end responsibility for the lifecycle management of complex IT solutions, specifically focusing on the Virtual Learning Environment (VLBw). Your daily responsibilities include serving as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, steering service delivery, managing SLAs, and driving continuous service improvements. You will lead the coordination of technical and functional services, including hosting and application operations, while ensuring alignment with governance, quality, and risk management standards. This role requires a strategic mindset to advise on roadmap planning and optimize platform performance for over 300,000 users. You will work in a high-impact environment, contributing directly to the operational readiness of the armed forces, supported by a collaborative team and a stable, modern work environment that emphasizes professional development and work-life balance.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, IT Management, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in IT Service Management, Solution Management, platform operations, or IT project management.
- Experience in steering complex IT solutions or platforms involving multiple service units and suppliers.
- Experience in the operation or management of digital learning platforms, collaboration tools, or complex web applications is preferred.

Additional
- Willingness to travel occasionally to customer and user sites. Must be eligible for work in Germany.
