Job Summary

As an AIT Engineer at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research, you will play a critical role in the development of the Photospheric Magnetic field Imager (PMI) for the ESA Vigil mission. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve preparing, coordinating, and executing assembly, integration, and test campaigns at both the sub-system and instrument levels. You will collaborate closely with internal project teams and external partners to ensure mission success. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in physics or engineering and possesses substantial experience in AIT processes, particularly within clean room environments and in accordance with ECSS standards.
