Job Summary

As an HVDC Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical, timely, and cost-effective commissioning of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems globally. Your day-to-day work involves managing network communication infrastructure, specifically focusing on TCP/IP-based networks, HMI concepts, and signal synchronization. You will act as a key technical contact for troubleshooting, interface testing, and supporting external partners during project execution. The role requires collaboration with project management on quality, risk, and claim management, as well as participation in lean initiatives and process improvements. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of the energy transition, requiring significant mobility for worldwide construction site deployments, including potential work on offshore platforms. You will be part of a dynamic environment that values technical expertise and proactive problem-solving.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training or university degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification; Qualification as a certified electrician (Elektrofachkraft).

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical or information technology commissioning
  • Experience in network administration and infrastructure monitoring
  • Experience in reading and interpreting electrical circuit diagrams
  • Experience in working on construction sites or industrial projects

  • Valid Class B driver's license required; High willingness to travel for worldwide construction site assignments and offshore platforms; Ability to work in a project-based environment with varying deployment locations.
