Job Summary

As an HVDC Commissioning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the technical, timely, and cost-effective commissioning of HVDC systems worldwide. Your day-to-day responsibilities include managing TCP/IP-based network infrastructures, overseeing HMI concepts, and ensuring the seamless integration of signal converters and time synchronization. You will act as a key technical contact for troubleshooting, system testing, and supporting external partners and clients. Beyond technical execution, you will contribute to quality, risk, and claim management, and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives like Lean programs. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys working in the dynamic energy sector, offering the unique opportunity to work on diverse international projects, including potential assignments on offshore platforms. You will be supported by a structured onboarding process in Forchheim before transitioning to project-specific locations.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training or university degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification. Must hold a qualification as a 'Qualified Electrician' (Elektrofachkraft).

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical or information engineering
  • Experience in network administration and infrastructure monitoring
  • Experience in troubleshooting and commissioning of technical systems
  • Experience in project-based work environments

Additional

  • Valid Class B driver's license required. Willingness to travel internationally for construction site assignments and offshore platforms. Must be able to work in a project-based, mobile environment.
