Job Summary

As a Commissioning Engineer for HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) systems at Schmitt Engineering, you will play a critical role in the global onsite deployment of complex energy infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the timely and cost-effective commissioning of HVDC facilities, with a specific focus on network infrastructure, data communications, and HMI concepts. You will manage time synchronization, signal conversion, and act as a primary interface for troubleshooting and testing communication interfaces with clients and partners. Additionally, you will support project leadership in quality, risk, and claim management, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives like Lean and lessons-learned reviews. This role is ideal for an engineering professional who thrives in a technical, field-oriented environment and possesses a strong foundation in network administration and electrical systems. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in commissioning or electrical engineering
  • Experience in network administration and infrastructure support
  • Familiarity with industrial network protocols and security standards
  • Experience in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical documentation
