Job Summary

As a Service Engineer for Marine Applications, you will play a critical role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and commissioning automation, propulsion, and power generation systems on various maritime vessels. Your day-to-day responsibilities include performing functional tests on converters and energy control systems, diagnosing complex technical faults, and ensuring all electrical systems adhere to international safety standards and regulations. You will also be responsible for documenting your work through detailed service reports and providing technical training to project teams and end clients. This role offers the unique opportunity to work in a global maritime environment, supporting everything from commercial container ships to specialized military vessels. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in an electrotechnical field or a university degree in drive technology (or a related engineering discipline).

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrotechnical engineering or drive technology
  • Experience in the maintenance and commissioning of marine energy and propulsion systems
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and industrial safety regulations
