Job Summary

As a Commissioning Engineer for HVDC Protection, you will play a pivotal role in the global energy transition by testing and verifying hardware and software for innovative HVDC projects. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve working within the test center in Germany to perform integration and functional testing of control and protection systems. You will also travel internationally to oversee the commissioning of DC protection systems, measurement systems, and transient fault recorders on-site, including offshore platforms. The role requires independent fault analysis, collaboration with project management and software engineering teams, and active participation in customer acceptance testing. You will be part of a multinational team at Siemens Energy, contributing to sustainable and reliable power grid solutions. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical power supply systems

  • Experience in project planning and testing of grid control and protection systems
