Job Summary

As a Commissioning Engineer within the High Voltage Solutions team, you will play a pivotal role in testing and verifying hardware and software for HVDC and FACTS projects. Your day-to-day responsibilities include preparing test plans, executing Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and conducting site testing to ensure the seamless functionality of auxiliary systems, protection systems, and primary HV plant equipment. You will collaborate with multinational teams, project managers, and end customers to maintain high-quality standards and adhere to project schedules. This position is unique as it offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge energy infrastructure projects worldwide, including assignments on offshore platforms. You will contribute directly to the global energy transition by ensuring the reliability and quality of essential power systems. The role requires a strong background in electrical engineering, proficiency in grid protection systems, and a willingness to engage in international travel for long-term site assignments.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, or equivalent qualification; Technician certification accepted.

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical engineering and commissioning of power stations and substations
  • Experience in planning, setting up, and executing Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
  • Experience in maintaining quality documentation and site test results
  • Experience in collaborating with project management in quality and risk management
