Job Summary

The City of Salzgitter is seeking a dedicated Procurement Administrator to join their Facility Management, Procurement, and Logistics department. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the safety and compliance of furniture and equipment across city facilities. Your primary day-to-day responsibilities include conducting risk assessments for furniture and furnishings, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, and creating actionable documentation and safety instructions. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure adherence to legal standards and safety regulations. Additionally, you will support broader procurement processes by assisting in the creation of service specifications. This position is ideal for someone with an administrative background who is detail-oriented, capable of working independently, and interested in occupational safety. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachangestellte/r) or successfully completed the Administrative Course I (Angestelltenlehrgang I) or equivalent career qualification for the general administrative service.

Experience

  • Professional experience in administrative roles
  • Experience or knowledge in the field of occupational safety is considered an advantage
  • Ability to quickly familiarize oneself with technical standards and regulations regarding furniture and equipment safety
