Job Summary

This Master's thesis position at the Institute of Energy Technologies (IET-1) offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in hydrogen production via Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) electrolysis. The successful candidate will focus on investigating alternative, non-precious metal catalysts to improve the efficiency and lifespan of electrolyzers. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing extensive literature reviews, conducting electrochemical experiments using methods such as Cyclic Voltammetry (CV), Linear Sweep Voltammetry (LSV), and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS), and analyzing structural surface properties. You will work in a highly professional, international research environment with access to state-of-the-art laboratory equipment. This role is ideal for a motivated student in chemistry, physics, or engineering who is eager to bridge the gap between academic research and practical energy solutions, with the potential for scientific publication.

Required Skills
