Job Summary

The Federal Institute of Hydrology (BfG) is seeking a Scientific Researcher to lead the 'Scientific Computing and Infrastructure' department in Koblenz. In this permanent, full-time role, you will manage a team of seven IT staff, oversee the institute's information system architecture, and act as a data architect for scientific data management. Key responsibilities include Enterprise Architecture Management, defining and implementing quality standards for data products, and representing the BfG in federal administrative committees. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in Computer Science, Geoinformatics, or Engineering, combined with leadership capabilities and experience in scientific computing or data management. Required Skills

Education

  • Experience in representing organizational interests in inter-agency or scientific committees.
