Job Summary

The Federal Institute of Hydrology (BfG) is seeking a Laboratory Technician or Technical Assistant to join the 'Biochemistry and Ecotoxicology' department in Koblenz. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting chemical-analytical investigations of environmental samples, including water, sediment, and biota, using advanced GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS techniques. Your daily tasks will involve field sampling, sample preparation, data analysis, and contributing to research projects focused on bioaccumulation. You will also play a key role in quality assurance measures. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys both laboratory work and field research. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), or as a Biology/Chemistry Laboratory Technician, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in environmental analysis of organic substances in water, sediment, and biota samples
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of passive sampling techniques
