Job Summary

The GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research is seeking two Automation Engineers to join the Accelerator Control Systems (ACO) department. In this role, you will be instrumental in the development, commissioning, and optimization of control systems for cryogenic, vacuum, and personnel safety systems for the FAIR accelerator facility. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include project planning, implementing SCADA and PLC-based control solutions, hardware selection, software integration, and troubleshooting. You will collaborate closely with internal departments and international partners like CERN, contributing to one of the world's largest scientific research projects.
