The Ph.D. candidate will join a research group at Ruhr-University Bochum focused on noncovalent interactions and donor-substituted cyclopropenium systems. The day-to-day responsibilities involve designing and executing multi-step organic syntheses, specifically targeting functionalized cyclopropanide systems, with a particular emphasis on diazo compounds. The candidate will be responsible for characterizing synthesized targets using advanced techniques such as NMR spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry (CV), and single-crystal X-ray diffraction (sXRD). This position is ideal for a motivated chemist looking to advance their academic career in a specialized research environment. Key requirements include a Master's degree in chemistry, proficiency in multi-step synthesis, and experience with air-sensitive compounds under inert-gas conditions.
