Job Summary

Join the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) as an IT Specialist for Open Source Security. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the secure digitalization of the German federal administration. Your day-to-day responsibilities include guiding the implementation of open-source software, developing robust IT security concepts and architectures, and performing technical security assessments and vulnerability analyses. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or FH-Diploma in Computer Science, Technical Informatics, IT Security, Public Administration Informatics, Business Informatics, or a related field with an IT focus.

Experience

  • 3 years of professional experience in IT projects with a focus on security, ideally in open-source or public administration environments
  • Professional experience in the evaluation or implementation of open-source solutions
  • Professional experience in developing IT security concepts and architectures

Additional

  • Must be willing to undergo an extended security clearance (SÜG § 9); willingness to travel (4-6 times per year); proof of equivalence required for foreign educational degrees via the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB).
