The University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH) is seeking a dedicated laboratory technician to join the Institute for Experimental Medicine, specifically the 'Systematic Proteomics & Bioanalytics' research group. In this role, you will contribute to the development and optimization of chemical-analytical methods, with a primary focus on proteoform-centric proteomics in blood plasma and cell lysates. Daily responsibilities include active participation in ongoing research projects, general laboratory maintenance, and the management of material procurement. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Medical Technologist for Laboratory Analytics (MTLA/MTL), Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), or a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Molecular Life Sciences.

Experience

  • Professional experience in chemical and/or analytical laboratories
  • Experience with bioanalytical methods including mass spectrometry and HPLC is preferred

Additional

  • Work permit for Germany required; position is initially limited to three years with an aim for permanent status; full-time (38.5 hours/week) with part-time options available.
