Job Summary

The Institute for Cancer Epidemiology (IKE) at the University of Lübeck is seeking a Computer Scientist to join their team in support of the Schleswig-Holstein Cancer Registry. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in a research project focused on developing and evaluating artificial intelligence methods to aggregate cancer case reports from diverse data sources. Beyond this research initiative, you will provide essential support for the maintenance of the cancer registry software, the web-based reporting portal, and associated database systems. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Computer Science or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in computer science or related field
  • Experience with artificial intelligence methods
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Golang, Java, C#, TypeScript, Rust)
  • Experience with relational database systems
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems
