Job Summary

The Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility (BALM) is seeking an IT-savvy and reliable professional to join the 'Budget' department in Cologne. In this role, you will serve as a central contact point for SAP application support, focusing on electronic invoicing (E-Rechnung) and budget management processes. Your daily responsibilities include supporting staff, managing master data, performing SAP module testing, and assisting with quarterly and annual financial closing procedures. You will play a key role in the transition to new SAP systems within a federal project environment. This position is ideal for candidates with a background in IT or public administration who are eager to contribute to modernization efforts in a stable, family-friendly federal agency. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training with an IT focus, or a background in public administration (e.g., Administrative Specialist, Office Management Clerk), or equivalent qualifications. For civil servants: eligibility for the intermediate non-technical administrative service of the Federal Government.

Experience

  • Professional experience in SAP application support or administration
  • Experience in conducting software tests, specifically within SAP modules
  • Experience in public sector financial or budget management processes
  • Experience in documentation and conceptual work for administrative procedures
