Job Summary

This PhD student position focuses on understanding and overcoming drug resistance in FLT3-mutated Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) within a large research consortium. The successful candidate will investigate niche-related adaptive molecular mechanisms underlying drug resistance using primary cells, PDX, and cell line models. Day-to-day tasks involve performing various assays such as CRISPR-based screens, cell adhesion, trans-well migration, and MSC co-culture experiments. The role also includes data integration and analysis of transcriptomic, proteomic, and library screen data, along with target validation using CRISPR-Cas9 knockouts and in-vitro drug assays. This position offers close collaboration with a proteomics lab and opportunities for in-depth experience with state-of-the-art proteomic approaches and in-vivo experiments, contributing to the development of new cancer therapies.
