Job Summary

As a PLC Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the commissioning of End-of-Line systems, with a primary focus on site work in Solihull. Your day-to-day tasks involve programming PLC controls using TIA Portal (CPU 1500), implementing safety controls with TIA Safety, and creating visualizations via WinCC and WinCC Unified. You will also handle the commissioning of drive systems, specifically SEW Movidrive B+C, and ensure the integration of safety technology such as light curtains and protective doors. A key part of the role is working according to the SICAR-SPS standard, managing electrical schematics in EPLAN, and providing on-site training to operators and maintenance staff. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree or technician training in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.

Experience

  • Experience in the commissioning of SEW Movidrive B+C drive systems
  • Experience with safety control systems and electrical schematic design using EPLAN
