Job Summary

As a Senior Vulnerability Analyst within the Security Operations Center (SOC), you will play a proactive role in securing the IT infrastructure of the DRV Bund. Your daily responsibilities include conducting vulnerability scans, identifying zero-day threats, and prioritizing risks based on business criticality. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of vulnerabilities, from detection to the coordination of mitigation measures and integration with automation or ticketing systems. Beyond technical analysis, you will maintain vulnerability scanning tools, manage dashboards, and translate complex security findings into actionable reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in IT, or an equivalent qualification through IT-specific training and several years of relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Several years of practical professional experience in vulnerability analysis or SOC operations
  • Practical experience with common vulnerability scanners
  • Experience in managing operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network technologies
  • Professional experience in risk assessment and prioritizing mitigation measures
  • Experience in communicating technical security topics to non-technical stakeholders

  • Must pass a security clearance check according to the Security Clearance Act (§ 9 SÜG). Readiness for on-call duty and occasional domestic travel is required.
