Join the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), Germany's national metrology institute, as a Doctoral Candidate in the 'Time and Frequency' department. In this role, you will advance the development of optical clocks using the ¹⁷³Yb⁺ isotope, building upon established research with ¹⁷¹Yb⁺. Your day-to-day work involves automating clock operations, investigating ion entanglement for stability, and expanding Python-based experimental control systems using ARTIQ.
