Job Summary

This role involves the development and manufacturing of integrated superconducting circuits at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), Germany's national metrology institute. Operating within a state-of-the-art Clean Room Center (RRZ), the successful candidate will work with niobium technology and novel processes to create superconducting nano- and microstructures. Key responsibilities include combining these circuits with optoelectronic measurement technology under cryogenic conditions, managing specific cleanroom facilities, and securing third-party funding for national and international projects. This position is ideal for a PhD-level scientist who enjoys a mix of hands-on experimental work, academic leadership through student supervision, and international scientific publication.
