Job Summary

This role is based in the Quantum Optics and Length Unit department at PTB, Germany's national metrology institute. As an Engineer, you will be responsible for the independent calibration of wavelength standards using beat frequency measurements and femtosecond lasers. Your daily activities will involve planning calibration orders, communicating with clients, and documenting processes within electronic records. A significant portion of the role focuses on the technical advancement and automation of measurement stations, as well as the development, testing, and documentation of complex analog and digital electronic circuits for measurement and control tasks.
