Job Summary

This role involves joining the central research division of the Salzgitter Group to support the development of innovative steel materials and process technologies. As a Development and Welding Engineer, you will work within the Application Technology department, overseeing projects from the laboratory phase through to series production for international end customers. Your day-to-day responsibilities include investigating fusion welding processes, conducting cyclic material and component testing, and coordinating laboratory investigations. You will lead interdisciplinary development projects, collaborating closely with production, sales, and technical customer advisory teams. This position is particularly attractive as it contributes directly to the SALCOS project, a pioneering initiative for CO2-reduced steel production.
