Job Summary

As a Research Associate in the Quality Assurance & Laboratory Operations team at Fraunhofer FFB, you will play a pivotal role in establishing Germany and Europe as leaders in battery cell production. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve developing and validating innovative analytical methods for material and process quality control along the entire battery manufacturing value chain. You will oversee the setup of quality assurance laboratories, from defining technical specifications and managing tenders to the final commissioning of analysis systems. This role is highly collaborative, requiring you to initiate research projects, publish findings, and mentor students. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in material characterization, electrochemical analysis, or quality assurance.
  • Experience in the context of battery technology is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in scientific working methods and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Experience in managing technical projects, including equipment specifications and commissioning.
  • Experience in publishing research results and securing third-party funding.
